Long and deep
In the mountain lies asleep
a terrorous hunter in white
It stalks night and day
For the flicker of flame
Human flesh it craves this night
With a horrible howl
it starts its prowl
searching for travelers alone
Jagged claws just reach
For a child’s flesh peach
Human hide skinned down to the bone
When its had its fill
The camper lies still
No flesh left on bones to rot
So if you hear a shriek
In the wind on the peak
You’ll never lay down your cot
Not here, not there
The wendigo is everywhere
Here in the mountains deep
So learn from this, child
Don’t go into the wild
Just stay here and fall asleep
