Hey can we possibly get a Trials of Ascension discord setup for testers and such? Games like Dwell, Legends of Aria, ARK and Rust all use discord for testing purposes and its very mainstream and easy to use for basically everyone. Would also stop the bot problem if you switched from the forums to discord IMO. Did for LoA and Dwell anyways.

Thank you for the suggestion. We are exploring our options for tester communication, but we haven't settled on one yet.

    I like Discord, too, FWIW.

Discord tends to get overly busy from what I have seen, forcing devs to make multiple rooms for chat and that leads to a discord channel that is increasingly hard to follow. It may still be better if the testing team grows huge. In the beginning, it may be easier to just use Skype.

This is a typical Wednesday night farming session on ARK. During raids... 80-200 people in one discord... And it holds up and its free. For more chats is for more diversity I suppose. We have raid channels, farm channels, our test server channels for building and experimenting. We also have bullshit channels where we just hang out or play other games. The SALT discord has over 1500+ members but its basically a discord for all the big mega tribes that reside inside of ARK.

You also have moderation built in to prevent spamming and on top of that you have "roles" to assign who is a tester, fanboy, dev, guild members etc etc...

Yes indeed, Discord works extremely well for maintaining things!
